Michele's Authentic Italian Meat Sauce

About the Recipe

Versatile meat sauce that works for any Italian dish of your choice!

Ingredients

2 lbs lean ground beef, browned and drained

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

Olive oil

3 28 oz cans of whole tomatoes

1 12 oz can of tomato paste

2 tsp salt

1/4 cup snipped parsley

3 TBS sugar

1 TBS oregano

1 TBS basil

2 bay leaves

Preparation

Step 1:

Heat olive oil, add garlic and heat for a min or two, and add beef.

 

Step 2:

Puree tomatoes in a blender, add to meat mixture. Stir in tomato paste and seasonings.

 

Step 3:

Bring to boil, simmer on low heat for 1-2 hours with lid ajar. Enjoy!
