  • 5 (15 oz) Showboat pork and beans

  • 3 TBS worcestershire sauce

  • 1 TBS spicy brown mustard

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 20 oz Bbq sauce

  • 1/3 of a large chopped onion

  • 1/3 of a chopped red pepper

  • 4 slices of chopped bacon


Step 1:

Preheat oven. See note at the end. Drain beans. Pour into 9x13 dish. My mother says to "add in 20 splashes of worcestershire sauce" (If that means something to you, you can do that. Otherwise, I guesstimated at 3 TBS). Add the next three ingredients and stir.

Step 2:

Add in chopped onion and red pepper and stir. Cut raw bacon into pieces and lay them on top.

Step 3:

There are two ways to bake this: 325 for 1.5 hours or if you're in a hurry, 425 for 30 minutes, then lower temperature to 325 for another 30 minutes.
